Meet Susan Berg, PhD

Her career-long focus on mastering change has won praise from Fortune 500 giants and renowned humanitarian non-profits alike. This same ability now helps to guide twentysomethings through the minefield of early adulthood.

Call her a transition expert. An award-winning international speaker, facilitator, and now author of Choose on Purpose for Twentysomethings, Susan Berg brings real world experience and solutions to the issues facing young people today.

Berg earned her Ph.D. in Adult Education and Development from the University of California, Los Angeles, her MA from Northwestern University and her BA Cum Laude from Miami University in Ohio. Initially an educator and school administrator in California and Texas, she honed her focus on designing strategic change projects. Those skills transferred perfectly to her more than dozen years at Unisys Corporation, where she was awarded the prestigious Chairman’s Innovation Award for implementing new teamwork practices for the tasks of the 21st century.

Today, Susan Berg manages Compass Associates, providing businesses with transition advising.  And she has founded the Choose on Purpose Institute−specializing in making projects happen in the face of “un-clarity,” and confusion.

Not surprisingly, Susan is also the mother of two thriving twentysomethings. This experience, coupled with her know-how in change management, drives her passion for working with twentysomethings, and indeed anyone who is willing to be a beginner and make bold moves.
